I am a tad suprised at Sam's reaction though. The majesty of Sam's reaction is that it was purely instinctive. None of his acting skills could stop that reaction from bubbling to the surface.

It tells me a few things. It tells me that Sam is quite possessive of Cait and does not like men impinging on his territory, albeit a gay man.

It tells me that Sam gets jealous when Cait flirts, even when it's with a gay man.

It naturally tells me that he is NOT ok with Tony pretending to be Cait's husband.

It also shows that Sam feels wistful that he cannot claim Cait. That she can draw suggestive little circles on a man's knee while he watches on pretending to not be her husband. And Cait knew she crossed the line and offended Sam.

Just look at her face after JB plants a little kiss on her cheek (this is after the knee caressing). Her face drops. She knows she did wrong lol. And so does JB!

Having digested the first 3 episodes of Arcane 2, I'm ready to say something bold and brave, and I hope I don't get too much hate for it.

Vi is just not a nice person.

In season 1, I feel like I was maybe unfair to the writers by saying that "rushing the romance with an enforcer/1% like Cait" was "flattening" Vi's character. That it was bending her out of shape.

How could a Zaunite as maltreated as Vi so easily turn to someone like Cait?

I was told by shippers it's because Cait is the first to show her kindness in a long time, and I still think that's hogwash. She is fresh out of mega hell prison where enforcers beat her so often they lost track of it. I don't believe any amount of kindness could make you fall for an enforcer within 48h in this context. Not realistically.

But now?

Vi hears Cait dehumanizing Zaunites and doesn't fight back. It takes a few compliments to make her accept an enforcer badge. She's running around gasing the people of the Lanes, making excuses for it, while looking fresh out of a WWII horror movie in that gas mask.

And when the gas mask is off, she's wearing Claggor's goggles... Like, yeesh.

She's clearly blinded by Cait. And that's fine! I used to think it was the flaw of the writers trying to hurry a Caitvi ship along. Now I gotta admit, it looks like Vi just doesn't have strong morals.

She hates enforcers but she'll join them easily. Her wanna-be gf says we use toxic gas that has horrible side effects [cut to horror medical slides] and she says "yeah, it's for the good of the people, sure".

She sees Jinx and accuses her of killing Powder, and says she's tired of making excuses for her.

To WHO, Vi? We don't have you on screen apologizing to anyone for Jinx's actions. I'm sure things were said to Caitlyn, but like, yeesh.

She accuses Jinx of orphaning kids, WHILE WEARING AN ENFORCER UNIFORM, the same worn by the people who orphaned HER.

I give up. The writers knew what they were doing.

A flawed woman who wasn't made a better or more moral one by all the suffering she endured in Stillwater.

Vi is cool, but she's not super loyal, is a bit of a meathead, doesn't have her priorities in orders, leads with her fists and caves easily to her emotions. She's horny for Cait and not very interested in the fate of her community.

Being locked up and beaten didn't make her smarter or kinder. It just made her a better fighter.

It's kind of my bad for assuming that Vi "should be better", logically. If she's written as a human, then she should be flawed and yeah, I guess she fucking is lol

I'm curious to see if she develops some... class consciousness, or some patriotism of some sort, when everyone realises the Noxian offers of protection are a yoke. I'm a lot more curious seeing where she ends now that I've accepted she's cool while also kinda shitty. It's nice that it goes along Cait's spiral into villainy.

That entire thing really did not land for me and took me extremely out of the episode ngl. The way it is framed and later on referenced on warwick's delusion flashbacks (IN MY OPINION) seemed to suggest that their mom was embroiled in an unrequited love triangle with these two and i could feel my brain leaking out of my ears because, to get back to a previously mentioned problem; it makes the world feel really, really limited. Like there's 10 real people surrounded by a population of NPCs. The idea of silco/vander as singlehandedly responsible for a 'revolution' that has no lineage beyond themselves is already laughable but?? they frame it as if vander could legit have been vi's dad?? he picks the name?? and that he is maybe seething in rage at silco because he was the reason she died??? huh? whuh? what in all of the wattpad fanfiction. not to mention... it makes silco constant attempts to kill vi in s1 seem contradictory and nonsensical. His motivations???????????

In some ways.. it is still resource exploitation now but Worse and in a time-ticking bomb sort of way that absolutely breaks the idea of Piltover using hextech for decades at a time. Im curious to see if that will be referenced in game content now bc it legitimately has shattered the timeline. I think its once again unnecessary and sacrifices a lot of good stuff for mid hand-wringing. But yeah. P/Z as presented in arcane has had so much personality sapped out of it. a whole roster of characters who might get completely rebooted for no good reason.

TBH i wouldn't really worry about this because i think if anyone is getting a new sex scene its going to be cait/vi makeup or hatesex. Sky is a plot convenience; her existence for the show's entire runtime is an accessory that they couldn't even bother fleshing out. The definition of the not-gays.

My reasoning is that if they were going to do any of that we would have already seen her do these things, more things, in the scenes she already appears in; but as always she is a static 3D model lounging in the background. (Related: this might be because she is Literally Not Real and the hexcore is just making up a faint mimicry who can only say 1 word.) Their time budget is really messy this season and i just don't see them wasting More time like that. They don't care for sky. never did! She's just a way to avoid letting viktor be an ideologue glorious evolutionist.

We already know internally some of the animators & art team like jayvik & there's even a few for-fun outside of the company interviews w/ crew expressing a preference to jv on a personal level ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the more the script tries to push it as nonromantic the more coded these scenes get. In terms of actual interaction i think a lot is going to depend on whatever the hell happens in episode 6 because their screentime is REALLY low and im unsure act3 can pull off another timeskip. So much left dangling.

IDGAF about meljay and i've never cared about meljay i think it is the culpirit of not-gays #1 so its hilarious how that shit literally didn't matter. The entire noxus storyline is a can of worms i would have thrown in the garbage and have no interest in. Still, in realistic terms, there is a 50/50 chance this season ends with jayce married 2 kids 1 dog 1/2 parrot moving out to noxus and saying 'heh, i never liked piltover anyway' and they'll play it like we're supposed to clap because nothing matters

Arcane Brainrot

Yeah, I've been spiralling about Arcane 2 since the trailer came out as well. I have so many thoughts but one of the theories i wanted to share that i havent seen yet is the line "my sister is gone".

After watching the trailer for the umpteenth time, i feel like it was not Vi coming to terms with who Jinx was but a more physical response to jinx's location.

I think she was on a mission to go find jinx (maybe the last scene was actually from that mission early on in the season) and something happens where Jinx disappears.

She has moved her base away, she got away and now no one can track her. So vi has come back to Piltover, probably to Cait, and is reporting by saying," My sister is gone."

I also think that the final (ish) mega battle would be with the Noxus Army, in a way where Jinx and Vi are forced to work together against a common enemy. What brings them closer could be the discovery of Warwick and how it might be Vander, and the two sisters need to deal with that information together.

I have so many theories, idk if im making sense anymore.

I also dont think jinx, vi or cait will die. I believe Jinx is either going to use the gemstone to teleport herself somewhere or she's going to be exiled somewhere. Or she leaves on her own accord, bidding a final goodbye to Vi, almost like," See you around".

Also, I'm almost 95% sure that Cassandra Kiramman and Mel are dead.

Barret is a Blastoise, although with the design detail that one of his paws is replaced by a prosthetic Mega Blastoise claw with an arm cannon

Tifa is a Lucario! When it comes to using aura, she dislikes prying too much into other Pokémon’s emotions. As such, she mainly only uses it during combat to gauge her opponents’ next moves. For some odd reason, she has trouble reading Cloud’s aura.

Aerith is a Bayleef, with her White Emera, this AU’s version of the White Materia, kept safely tucked in the pink ribbon she wears around her head leaf.

I wish they didn't go the magic route with Viktor, or at least, have the hexcore stabilize his life force and have Jayce send Viktor to a hospital where he gets a new pace maker, and when his organs slowly shut down and the metal organs he needs don't exist Jayce would make new organs, and Viktor once back to normal would take it to the extreme, giving himself a new leg, and strengthening his arms and legs with machinery, and it wouldn't even be super strange to Viktor, smeech also has limb enhancements, chem tech limbs and limb enhancements are normal in zaun, maybe Jayce throws viktor out after he finds out with a nudge from hiemerdinger about it being 'unnatural' ie.he just doesn't like it, like, Viktor comes back to zaun, reunites with Renata glasc who paid for his education and goes to study chemtech from her connections, making new strides in cheap organ replacements, maybe even meeting renni, which would make things really awkward if Jayce showed up, I'd love the plot point of viktor being too bold for the stuck in their ways conservatives of piltover, getting distain and disapproval for the strides he'd make in medicine, also, what if he just wanted to make body mods, it adds a new layer to it, cause in canon jayce talks down to vik about how his disabled body was part of his identity, which it isn't, what if Viktor just wanted body mods, Viktor not fitting in Jayce's box and jayce being ignorant would make a cool plot point, having Viktor become a barron in his own right for body mods would be so cool, how to the dynamics shift if you know someone is a baron, how do you approach cait trying to destablize zaun if you know one of the people she'll be after is Viktor, how would she feel, would it make her bigotry worse since she would think vik turned evil, (cause she thinks all powerful people in piltover are evil, or all people at Silco's corrupt table(without acknowledging piltovers table is the same)), it would be such a cool dynamic, vik living within piltovers ideas of him and then him going directly against piltovers ideas of him, also vik being able to rely on his connections more heavily and be manipulated by powerful figures instead would have been cool, Renata glasc could be such a mel like figure to Viktor, and a Cassandra like one, giving him an opening to a place at the table would have been cool.

ALSO, having Viktor gloriously evolve minds by upping the cognitive abilities would make so much more sense for him being so crazy about it, and it would also probably mega start up his cult following, bringing the catatonic and dead back to life smarter, faster, stronger. It would definitely make him look like salvation while still allowing Viktor to have his distain for it, and those with the brain stuff can still be super ignorant and fanboyish cause thinking fast doesn't make you smarter if you don't know how to use it.

It would have been like he was a celebrity, still having a cult following but in that framing, it'd make so much sense

I haven't actually checked to see if said joint property ownership exists but I'll take everyone's word for it. Ms Paranoid put out a fraudulent MC, putting her and Tony's name on a property title is like brushing her teeth. Normal in her world.
